Job Description
About Company: A retail chain startup for basic groceries with strong financial resources which is
going to change the retail market in Nigeria. The Company’s values are honesty, reliability, and responsibility.
Job Objective:
 Create the technical infrastructure required for implementing the business in Nigeria.
 Prepare and manage selection, implementation and ongoing service of ERP, POS and other important
systems for all sites.
Specific Decisions and Responsibilities:
 Plans, oversees and implements all technology operations (e.g. hardware infrastructure, software
infrastructure, ERP, POS etc) in the distribution center and the stores.
 Develops and establishes IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by
the Management.
 Purchases efficient and cost-effective technology equipment and software.
 Inspects the use of equipment and software to ensure adequacy, functionality and efficiency.
 Identifies the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and reports feedback to the
Management.
 Coordinates and supervises IT support staff.
 Analyses the business requirements of all departments to determine the technology needed on on-
going basis.
 Controls IT budget and reports on expenditure.
 Participates in the Administration Managers Meeting and Management Meeting.
Requirements:
 First degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar field or equivalent work experience
 Proven working experience as an IT Manager, supervisor/lead or relevant experience.
 Must have hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite’s ERP set up and management
 Must have extensive experience working with a large retail chain or organisation with multiple office
locations
 Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer
hardware/software systems.
 He ensures to be a technical expert in setting up Point-of-Sale systems.
